Recently, one of our Recruitment Partners asked us a question that made us pause and reflect.
"Who is Maarifaa really for? What gap is Maarifaa trying to fill in Africa's higher education ecosystem, and how does it create value for students?"
It is a simple question.

One observation has consistently emerged.
Students generally approach higher education through three different pathways.
The first pathway is chosen by students who have a clear preference for an international education experience. Their decision may be influenced by career aspirations, specialised academic programmes, research opportunities, language, culture, family preferences, or the global exposure offered by a particular country or institution.
The second pathway is chosen by students who decide to pursue higher education within their own countries. However, across many countries, the rapid growth in the youth population has created demand that often exceeds the available capacity. Limited seats in specialised programmes, varying levels of research and laboratory infrastructure, and restricted access to certain emerging disciplines mean that not every student is able to pursue their preferred course or institution within their home country.
This creates an important gap in Africa's higher education ecosystem.
