Part A: Grievance & Complaints
1. Complaints
Contact hello@maarifaa.com with your name, account email, country, issue and relevant transaction or reference information.
2. Privacy Complaints
Privacy complaints will be assessed under applicable data-protection law. Where a school or local execution partner is independently responsible for a particular processing activity, we may coordinate with or direct the matter to that organisation while assisting as appropriate.
3. Regulatory Rights
Nothing in this notice limits your right to complain to a competent data-protection, consumer-protection or other regulator where that right exists.
Part B: Child & Parent/Guardian Notice
4. Students Under 18
Maarifaa may provide Services to students under 18 and applies additional safeguards for young users. Applicable requirements concerning parental or guardian consent and children's data will be followed.
5. Parent/Guardian Role
Where a parent or guardian is required to authorise processing or a Service, they must have authority to act for the child. Parents and guardians may contact Maarifaa about a child's data using the details below.
6. School Programmes
When programmes are delivered through a school or local execution partner, that organisation may collect or facilitate information under its own responsibilities. Maarifaa will require appropriate contractual and operational arrangements for data it receives or processes.
7. Rwanda
For users in Rwanda, applicable law requires parental-responsibility consent where the controller or processor knows that personal data belongs to a child under 16, subject to the law's exceptions.
8. Data Access and Export
Parents or guardians and schools may have rights to access or obtain relevant information depending on applicable law and the organisation responsible for processing. Where a school requests a platform export, Maarifaa will apply its standard export process and, where substantial custom technical work is required, the applicable Data Export Service Fee. This does not limit statutory rights that cannot lawfully be conditioned on payment.
